The Ladies Committee of St Sylvester’s GAA Club is inviting applications for the vital role of Club Children's Officer on behalf of the Ladies Football and Camogie section.
Role Overview
This rewarding position seeks someone (or more) passionate about promoting children and young people’s participation in club activities. You will work to uphold the highest standards of child welfare and inclusion, ensuring our club remains a safe, welcoming place for everyone.
Key Responsibilities
- Encourage children’s involvement in all club activities.
- Make sure anyone working with young people is Garda vetted and has completed Child Safe Guarding Training.
- Liaise with Derek O Brien, Club Children's Officer, and the wider safeguarding team.
- Ensure players, coaches, parents, and officials follow the Code of Behaviour.
- Help Lead Coaches comply with the Coaching Panel and manage the Compliance Database.
- Promote the "Give Respect - Get Respect" initiative among all members.
- Influence club policies to put children’s and young people’s needs first.
