What a weekend for St Sylvester’s as our U15 Féile boys and girls lit up the national stage with their football, teamwork, and club spirit — and even our youngest hurlers got in on the winning action too!

🏆 U15 Boys Crowned Regional Féile Champions

Our lads headed north to Crossmaglen on a mission — and they absolutely delivered!
They powered through their group with three wins from three, advanced to the Cup semi-final, and went on to claim victory in the final by 8 points. A seriously composed performance from a talented, hard-working panel who’ve earned every bit of this success. 💪

The team was cheered on from near and far, with messages flooding in as they marched through the day — and the celebrations are still going strong (rightly so!).
Huge credit to the players, coaches and families. You’ve done Syls proud! 🟢🔵

💙 U15 Girls Shine in All-Ireland Féile Campaign

Meanwhile about 115 km further north in Owenbeg-Derry, our U15 girls delivered a phenomenal performance throughout their Féile journey, showing class, courage, and pure heart.
  • Game 1: A storming start with a 4-6 to 0-2 win over Westmeath
  • Game 2: A brilliant comeback and 4-3 to 2-2 win v Mayo
  • Game 3: Narrow 1-point loss to Cork, but still advanced to the Cup semi-final
In the semi-final, Syls went toe-to-toe with a strong Claregalway side. The girls showed grit, came from behind to level it — but were eventually edged out by just 2 points in what was described as a top-quality game.  Though the result stung, the pride in this team is immense. All 25 players contributed on the day and left everything on the pitch. Coaches, officials, and opposition mentors alike praised their style of play, teamwork, and spirit.

These girls represented Syls with distinction — on and off the field — and created memories that will last a lifetime. 💚💙

And finally… Our U11 Hurlers Keep the Momentum Rolling!

To round off a magic weekend, our 2014/2015 (U11) Community Games hurling team travelled to Eadestown GAA for their Leinster Championship clash — and came home smiling after a 10-4 to 2-8 win! 🥳  What a performance and what a statement from our young stars!

💬 One Club, One Weekend to Remember

From Crossmaglen to Derry to Naas — it’s been a weekend of heart, hustle and huge moments for St Sylvester’s. To all the players, mentors, supporters and families: thank you for flying the Syls flag so proudly.

The future is bright, and it's wearing blue and green. 🟢🔵
