A huge thank you to everyone who sent in photos from across all the age groups this weekend. It wasn’t easy picking just one for the headline image — but after much debate from our two judges, a winner was chosen! 📸 Keep those great shots coming; they really capture the heart of our club.

Academy – Football & Hurling, Camogie
Our Academy returned with a bang this weekend, with brilliant energy from our youngest Syls stars taking their first steps on the playing fields. The future is shining bright already. 💙💚

2018 Boys – Football
A massive well done to the 2018 boys who lined out against Naomh Mearnóg in their first match since graduating from the Academy. Fantastic teamwork, passing, tackling, and some excellent scores on show. The coaches were full of pride after a great performance. 👏

2017 Boys – Football
It was Go Games action for our 2017 boys. Pods 1 and 3 travelled to Raheny and Na Fianna, while Pod 2 hosted Plunketts in the Castle. Super football in fine conditions all round.

2017 Girls – Camogie
The 2017 girls got stuck into camogie, hosting St Pat’s Donabate and also making the short trip to neighbours Naomh Mearnóg. Despite damp conditions, the girls impressed with great skills, plenty of “air hurling,” and loads of determination.

2016 Boys – Football
An incredible 70 boys took to the pitches across Malahide and Swords this weekend. Despite windy conditions, they showed great scoring power and endless enthusiasm. 💪

2016 Girls – Camogie
The 2016 girls were busy too, with matches against Whitehall Colmcille at home and Na Fianna away. Wet conditions didn’t dampen their spirits — they produced superb displays of striking, lifting, and scoring. 💙💚

2015 Boys – Football
Our U10s had a football blitz split across venues. At home, they faced Castleknock and Binn Éadair, while other teams travelled to Donabate to take on St Pat’s and Naomh Barróg. Non-streamed games, but plenty of skills and effort on a breezy day at the Castle.

2015 Girls – Camogie
The U10 girls were in camogie action, hosting Clontarf and travelling to Commercials. Both matches were described as tight contests with great skills, striking, and plenty of fun. 🤩

2014 Boys – Football
Six football teams were in action. Three faced Thomas Davis in Bridgefield while the other three travelled to St Anne’s Park for matches with Raheny. Excellent performances from all sides. 👏

2014 Girls – Camogie
While their parents wrestled with traffic, the 2014 girls had no trouble tackling anything that moved! Great lifting, striking, and passing skills on display from this lively group.

2012 Girls – Camogie Championship
It was a busy championship day for our U13 camogie teams:

Division 1: Narrowly edged out by Ballyboden in tough conditions.
Division 6: A solid win against St Jude’s.
Division 11: Another good win, this time against Cuala.

2011 Boys – Hurling
Both U14 hurling teams enjoyed strong wins to close out their group campaigns:

T1 team: A convincing 5-18 to 0-9 victory over Clanna Gael, securing a home Cup semi-final.
T2 team: Another impressive win against Lucan, keeping momentum rolling.

2011 Girls – Camogie
The U14 camogie girls fought hard at home against Commercials. Leading by two at half-time, some tough decisions went against them and the result slipped away. Despite the loss, their resilience, teamwork, and spirit shone throughout.

U15 Boys – Hurling
Tough conditions away to O’Dwyer’s, but the lads showed real fight to come away 2-13 to 2-06 winners. A great result on the road.

U15 Girls – Camogie
The U15s faced Kevins, one of Dublin’s strongest hurling and camogie clubs. It was a brilliant contest with Syls producing some excellent scores and battling all the way to a great home win. 🔵🟢

U16 Boys – Football Championship
A fine championship win over Clontarf — finishing 4-15 to 2-10. Great result for the lads as they continue their campaign strongly.

Minor Boys – Football
The Minor C team earned a hard-fought draw away to St Jude’s, finishing level at 2-11 apiece.

One to Watch 👀
Our U14 hurlers (T1) now look forward to a home Cup semi-final after topping their group. A big day awaits — make sure to get down and support them! 💙💚⚾️
